LabraDoodle

Labradoodles are a breed known to be extremely sociable as well as intelligent. Labradoodles are a mix between Labrador Retrievers and Poodles, and the offspring can vary greatly. Some dogs will be more like their Poodle parents and others like labs, with looks and personalities varying between litters and puppies. These dogs are incredibly friendly and need to be around people. They bond very well with their family and are also friendly around strangers and other dogs, especially if well socialized early on. Labradoodles aim to please which, especially when combined with their intelligence, makes them easy to train. Labradoodles love being around those they love, and can be both extremely playful as well as cuddly and calm. They have a very high energy level and are very playful which requires regular exercise and means they do not do well with apartment living.

Some Labradoodles have low-shedding coats like their Poodle parents, while others shed very frequently like a Lab. No matter what coat-type a Labradoodle has, they should be regularly groomed as well as have their ears cleaned. They can tolerate hot as well as cold weather and are fairly easy to groom and care for, while being generally healthy dogs overall.

Labradoodles vary in size depending on their parents but typically come in three sizes: Standard, Medium, and Miniature. Standard Labradoodles are typically 21-24 inches tall and weigh between 50 and 65 pounds while Medium Labradoodles are typically 17 to 20 inches tall and weigh between 30-45 pounds. Mini Labradoodles are typically between 14 and 16 inches tall and weigh between 15 to 25 pounds.
